The Shearwater Aviation Museum building is located at 34 Bonaventure Street, just before the main gate to the base. This is the address to use for visiting and for deliveries to the Museum.
If you are coming from Halifax:
Take the Angus L. McDonald Bridge to the Dartmouth side of the harbour. Turn right onto Wyse Rd. until you reach Alderney Drive. Turn left onto Alderney Drive. Continue along Alderney Drive until you reach the end of Alderney Drive at the intersection of Portland St. where you will turn right. Follow Portland St. to Pleasant St. Turn right onto Pleasant St. Continue until you reach the traffic lights at the entrance to the base (the first set of traffic lights past the Imperial Dartmouth terminal). Directly to your left will be a large building with a smaller brown building to either side of it, one of which is a chapel. This is the Museum.
If you are coming from the Dartmouth area:
Take Highway 322 (Pleasant Street) toward Eastern Passage. Continue until you reach the traffic lights at the entrance to the base (the first set of traffic lights past the Imperial Dartmouth terminal). Directly to your left will be a large building with a smaller brown building to either side of it, one of which is a chapel. This is the Museum.
If you are coming from the Cole Harbour area:
Follow Caldwell Road straight through (Caldwell Road actually becomes Hines Road beyond the turn-off for Eastern Passage) making no turns until you reach Pleasant Street. If you look directly to your right, you will see a large building with a smaller brown building to either side of it, one of which is a chapel. This is the Museum.
If you are coming from the Eastern Passage area:
Take Highway 322 (Pleasant Street) toward Dartmouth. Continue until you reach the traffic lights at the entrance to the base (the next set of traffic lights past the Autoport property). Directly to your right will be a large building with a smaller brown building to either side of it, one of which is a chapel. This is the Museum.
