A number of these books are still available for sale through the Museum Gift Shop, while others now only remain in our Reference Library.<\/p>\n<p>As well, we have been granted rights by a few authors for either primary distribution or even re-printing of their books, all of which specialize on topics directly related to our mandate.<\/p>\n<p>We do eventually plan to post a detailed list of publications on this page, but for now, you can see our most recent projects:<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;SIGNAL DELTA: <\/strong>Canadian Naval Air Remembers, **NEW BOOK AVAILABLE**<\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Canadians first served in naval air in 1914 marking this year as its 110<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0Anniversary &#8211; a fitting time by which to produce a commemorative and celebratory book. The variety of naval, Canadian Armed Forces, and air force personnel who carried and continue to carry that torch provides a peek into the history and politics of Canada&#8217;s National Defence. Currently, book availability is being planned for Remembrance Day, 11 November 2024. The book is $40.00, including GST, and can be ordered by calling 902-720-1083, or by emailing curator@shearwateraviationmuseum.ca. Drop in customers to the gift shop can also pick up a copy, although the museum exhibits remain closed as we are currently reassembling the museum after a year of renovations.<\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<p>Proceeds from the sale of the book will contribute much needed funding for a commemorative exhibit to be installed at SAM.<\/p>\n<p> <\/p>\n<p>Thank you again for your interest in and support of naval air and this project to remember those to whom we &#8211; and all Canadians &#8211; owe so much.
